Ever fancied a slice of the Good Life? Do you think you may have green fingers? Or just want to know what you’re eating? Well if you have answered yes to any of the above questions and with Spring in the air why don’t you try to grow some of your own herbs, fruit and or veggies? In order to start growing your own you don’t need an allotment or a large garden in fact all you need to start off small is an old bucket or a plant pot.
With just a little bit of imagination in these small areas you can grow anything from salad leaves to tomatoes and from potatoes to runner beans and many more. With Lettuce, rocket and other crunchy salad leaved plants they are easy to grow, you can grow them in shallow trays or plant pots and leave them on your window sill, and so long as you remember to water them (and don’t drown them) you could be harvesting your own fresh crispy salad leafs all year round because when you cut them, they’ll keep growing back.
