Pond dipping at Newport wetlands
April 2 - April 13
If you and your little ones enjoy searching for all creatures great and small that fly through the air or live under water then why not come along and explore this wet and wonderful landscape and learn about the many different creatures that call it home. All you need to do is wrap up warm and if you have a pair binoculars (which can be hired from £3-£5) bring them along to view all our wild fowl.
Newport Wetlands National Nature Reserve lies between the Severn Estuary and the River Usk on the South Wales coast and just half an hour from Cardiff. It’s owned and managed by Natural Resources Wales, working in partnership with RSPB Cymru, Newport City Council and others, for the benefit of wildlife and people.
